Omicron symptoms: Is it the post-Christmas fatigue or could it be a sign of Omicron? – Herts Live

It’s normal to feel quite lethargic and unmotivated following the festive period, especially during a pandemic.

Following the often excessive Christmas period, a lot of people could be mistaking their lack of energy with just feeling worn out or overwhelmed.

The official advice is to get tested if you display the main symptoms of coronavirus, which the NHS lists as:

  • a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or three or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

The Government has been urged to update the list of symptoms by Tim Spector, lead scientist on the Zoe Covid Study app, who has been calling for a change since the emergence of the Delta variant.
