A3400 traffic: road closed for hours in Chipping Norton after crash – recap – Oxfordshire Live
There were significant delays in and around Chipping Norton on Wednesday (January 26) after a crash closed a major road in the area.
A closure was in place on the A3400 since just before 7pm while motorists were asked to seek alternative routes.
Travel news service INRIX stated the road was closed in both directions and it didn’t reopen until the following morning.

Information at the time read: “A3400 in both directions closed due to accident between B4026 (Over Norton Turn-off) and A361 Banbury Road (Shell Petrol Station Roundabout). Traffic is coping well.
“The road has been shut since just before 7pm.”
