Hinckley’s Concordia Theatre open for autumn bookings as shows welcome back audiences – Leicestershire Live

A popular theatre in Hinckley will soon be back in the limelight as tickets go on sale for its first shows in September.

The Concordia Theatre is re-opening booking on Saturday, June 12, ahead of the first productions planned for the autumn season.

The group said on its website: “We are overwhelmed by the support and generosity received since the beginning of the pandemic and once again cannot wait to see our patrons enjoying live shows and entertainment.

“Our full season’s programme is currently under review and will be announced as soon as we are able, with full details covered on our show guide page.

“We do hope that you will join us in September when the lights go down and the curtains come up again for the first shows of this new and very exciting season.”

While Covid-19 restrictions are in place, all auditorium seating will be socially distanced.

You can buy seats in blocks of two, three or four seats together, socially distanced from other patrons.

If you are unable to book seats for a particular evening’s performance online because there are no ‘bubbles’ of the correct number available, then call the box office and they may be able to revise the seating plan to accommodate.

The full season’s timetable has yet to be finalised.

Productions that have been scheduled include:

• September 7 to 11 – The Moon is Halfway to Heaven – The story of two men and their lifelong friendship, from childhood through to their 80s
• September 18 – The Ultimate Big Band – A selection of favourite tunes performed by the Syd Lawrence Orchestra
• September 23 to 25 – Here Come The Girls – a team of some of Concordia’s best-loved female performers perform musical numbers from West End musicals, backed by a 20-piece orchestra

From Saturday, June 12, the box office will be open on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday mornings, from 10am to 12.30pm.

Box office times from Saturday, July 3 will be be extended to include Friday mornings.

From Monday, August 2, it will be open on all mornings from Monday to Saturday and in the evening on Monday and Wednesday, from 7 to 8pm.
