Mexican restaurant chain Benito’s confirms plans for new outlet in Hinckley – Leicestershire Live

Mexican restaurant Benito’s has spoken about its plans to open a new eatery in part of a former nightspot in Hinckley.

The food chain, known for its tacos, burritos and margaritas, was named in documents when it applied for an alcohol licence for part of the former Quartz nightclub, on Regent Street.

The restaurant has now confirmed it is set on opening in the town.

LeicestershireLive contacted the chain to ask for more details about the menu and when the restaurant will open.

Managers said: “We do not have sufficient clarity on likely opening dates to be able to release any details yet.”

They said that they will release more information about the venture in December.

The menu on Benito’s website includes some ‘Best of Benito’s’ recommendations, including the Juan Burrito, with grilled chicken, rice and refried beans, and the Felipe Burrito, with braised pork, black beans and salsa verde.

Tipples include pomegranate and spiced pear margaritas and mojitos.

The notice for the alcohol licence has been put up in one of the windows of the unit that Benito’s is looking to take on.

The former Quartz nightclub has been divided into three retail units, one of which was recently relaunched as a branch of tanning group Forever Sun.

A crafts and antiques shop also recently opened on Regent Street, launched by the same group behind the Haunted Antiques Paranormal Research Centre, next to the New Baron of Hinckley pub.
